Will AI Recommend Your Medspa? Start With the Basics

AI search is changing how people research treatments, products, and providers. That deserves our attention.

But I am not going to tell you Instagram is dead or that every medspa needs to reinvent its entire marketing plan by Friday.

What I will tell you is this: potential clients are asking longer, more specific questions online. Some are asking Google. Some are using AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity. If your online presence is vague, outdated, or inconsistent, it becomes harder for both people and search systems to understand what you do.

This is another reason to build a clear, credible online foundation.

What Changed?

The 2026 Medical Aesthetics AI Visibility Index found that the top 15 brands captured about 62% of AI citations across major platforms.

That does not mean your local practice needs to compete with national brands.

It does mean search is changing.

Potential clients are increasingly asking questions like:

  • What is the best treatment for acne scars?

  • Where can I get microneedling near me?

  • What should I look for when choosing a medspa?

  • Is a chemical peel or microneedling better for texture?

If your website does not clearly answer those questions, you are making it harder to be found.

Start With the Basics

Before worrying about “GEO” or another new marketing acronym, look at your foundation.

1. Make your website clear

Can someone quickly understand:

  • What you do

  • Where you are

  • Who you serve

  • What treatments you offer

  • Why they should trust you

Beautiful branding is important. Clarity is too.

2. Build strong service pages

Your most important treatments deserve more than one sentence.

Explain what the treatment is, what concerns it may address, what clients can expect, and who performs it.

3. Answer real client questions

The questions your team hears every week are content opportunities.

Turn them into FAQs, blog posts, and service-page content.

That helps potential clients and gives search tools more useful information about your expertise.

4. Keep your Google Business Profile current

Make sure your address, hours, services, photos, contact information, and website are accurate.

Consistency matters.

5. Ask for reviews

Reviews help build trust and give future clients more context about your practice.

You do not need scripted reviews. You need real client experiences shared consistently.

Does Traditional SEO Still Matter?

Yes.

AI visibility and medspa SEO are not completely separate strategies.

A clear website, useful content, local relevance, reviews, and credible information support both.

You do not need to abandon what already works.

You need to make sure the basics are actually being done well.

The Bottom Line

AI search matters.

But this is not a reason to panic.

It is another reason to make your business easier to understand, easier to trust, and easier to find.

Start with the foundation.

Then build from there.
